Growing at edges of seep. Dry drainage in severely overgrazed dry slopes, adjacent to slopes with ancient Inca terraces, with few plants, and these grazed down to the ground. In dry parts of wash found Grindelia glutinosa, in seep is Cyperus, bermuda grass and passiflora at edges of seep, Suaeda on footslope, and Croton, Heliotropium and sticky Nicotiana-like shrubs only on upper dry slopes where ancient Inca terraces are.
